A brace, and Thiago Rodríguez takes the afternoon — 8.88
There is a particular kind of quiet from an away end watching one man score twice. Thiago Rodríguez provided it, and the 8.88 beside his name is if anything generous to everybody else.

Nahuel Valiñas keeps Potencia in it on his own
Some afternoons a goalkeeper is the team. 7 saves, several of them the sort nobody expects to see stopped, and a scoreline that flatters everybody in front of him.

Tempers go at Potencia
Alejandro González was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.

Graduation day at Potencia
4 boys move up, and somewhere in the building the people who coached them at twelve are quietly having the best morning of their working year. Nothing about this shows up in a result and it is why the academy exists.

A row about effort at Potencia
Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Nahuel Valiñas was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.

Thiago Rodríguez the difference as Potencia beat Salto
Ask anyone on the way out what separated the sides and you will get one name: Thiago Rodríguez. 2‑1 against Salto, and the applause at the whistle was mostly his.
The terraces15 Feb 2027
One of their own: Thiago Rodríguez
He is 21 and the ground already sings his name, which is a thing that happens to local boys and almost never to signings. Everything from here is measured against an affection he did nothing to earn except be from here.

One of our own: Kevin Suarez joins the Potencia first team
Clubs spend fortunes looking for players and occasionally find one down the corridor. Kevin Suarez is that, and the reception he gets on his first appearance will be different in kind from the one any signing receives.

One of our own: Jose Torres joins the Potencia first team
Clubs spend fortunes looking for players and occasionally find one down the corridor. Jose Torres is that, and the reception he gets on his first appearance will be different in kind from the one any signing receives.
