Thallyson signs for Portuguesa while still at América Mineiro
The rules permit it and it stings anyway. Thallyson has agreed terms with Portuguesa for the summer, and until then he pulls on this shirt as a player who has already chosen his next one.

A falling-out at América Mineiro
Marlon and a teammate went at it, and not about football. Training grounds are small places and a long season makes them smaller.

Rodrigo Piñeiro falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.

“Nobody here is above being told.” It was not said with a name attached, but the dressing room can count, and so can everybody who was listening.

Still no ink between América Mineiro and Conrado
“We keep meeting, and we keep leaving the room with the same numbers we walked in with.” Another round of talks at América Mineiro, another week without a signature from Conrado.

Registration rules keep Sebastián Viveros out at América Mineiro
It has nothing to do with his form and everything to do with how the squad was assembled. He will train all week with a group he is not permitted to play for, which is a strange way to spend a season.

Rodrigo Piñeiro still has not settled
A year in and the language has not come, the city has not opened up, and he eats alone more often than anybody at América Mineiro would like to admit. It is showing on Saturdays.

The Breno story refuses to die
It has been denied twice and printed three times, which is the usual arithmetic. Until Breno signs something — a contract at América Mineiro or anywhere else — this column belongs to him.

Still no signature from Emerson Santos
4 months left and the two sides are nowhere near each other. Every week this drags on takes money off what América Mineiro could get for him.
