Every point is an argument now for Cienciano
Position 10 and 6 points, and the table gets read bottom-up in this part of town. The calendar has stopped being a schedule and started being a countdown.
Squad22 Mar 2027
Gonzalo Falcón stands alone
6 saves, and a scoreline the ten men in front of him had no right to. Goalkeepers only get noticed on the bad days; this was one of the other ones.

Tempers go at Cienciano
Jesús Barco was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.
Match20 Mar 2027
Melgar take the points off Cienciano
Beaten 1‑2, and beaten fairly. The manager kept his words short afterwards, which was probably wise.
Squad22 Mar 2027
Claudio Núñez falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.
The dugout22 Mar 2027
Aldo Reyna answers for it
“The supporters are entitled to be angry. So am I. We will put it right.” 1‑2, a manager saying the necessary things, and a dressing room that heard a different version of them.
Player ratings22 Mar 2027
Nobody could get near Cristian Souza
Successful dribbles: 14. Every time he got the ball somebody had to make a decision, and every time the decision was wrong.

The Gonzalo Falcón question follows Cienciano around
Every press conference now starts and ends the same way: with Gonzalo Falcón’s future. The manager has run out of new ways to say nothing.
The dugout22 Mar 2027
The plan did not have a place for Neri Bandiera
Nobody at Cienciano is suggesting he is out of form. The manager simply wanted somebody with a different set of qualities for ninety specific minutes, and there is nothing a player can train to fix that.
