Adrián Martínez breaks a bone — 93 days out
Brutal, unambiguous and, for all the horror of the moment, usually less career-shaped than the ligament everybody fears more. 93 days, a clean timeline, and a return date somebody can actually plan around.

Yanniel Hernández has one foot out of the door
Terms are settled between the clubs and the rest is paperwork and a photograph. Around UCV they have already started talking about him in the past tense.

Yanniel Hernández signs for Mineros de Guayana while still at UCV
The rules permit it and it stings anyway. Yanniel Hernández has agreed terms with Mineros de Guayana for the summer, and until then he pulls on this shirt as a player who has already chosen his next one.

Francisco Solé falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.

The manager makes an example of Yanniel Hernández
“If you cannot run for the shirt, somebody else will wear it.” No name was used and none was needed; every player in that room knew who it was for.

Jean Carlos Polo has become a man the manager trusts
Nobody at UCV will say this on the record and the team sheets have been saying it for weeks. There is a small group in every squad who get picked when the fixture is difficult, and he has joined it.

Francisco Solé has been promised minutes
A conversation in the manager’s office, and a commitment that came out of it. Promises like that are cheap to make and expensive to break, and Francisco Solé has written the date down.

Alexander González wants to know why he earns less
Numbers do not stay secret in a dressing room. He is not asking for more than he is worth; he is asking why somebody beside him is worth more, and UCV have no good answer.

UCV put Diego Rinaldi up for sale
The list is a quiet document with a loud meaning. Diego Rinaldi may talk to anybody who asks, and everybody at the club understands what that means.
