Words exchanged at Utenis
Lucas Droyaux and a teammate said things this week that will take longer than a week to unsay. It was not about football, and both of them play on Saturday.

Edvinas Dubickas falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.
Squad7 Dec 2026
The manager has re-ordered his thinking and Lukas Lasickas has come out of it lower. He will be told it is temporary, and the players who have heard that before will avoid his eye.

Squad23 Nov 2026
“Some decisions take a long time. This one took ten minutes, and most of that was finding a pen.” Lucas Droyaux and Utenis agree another 3 years.

Tempers go at Utenis
Arnas Simkus was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.

Words at Utenis training over how hard people work
Somebody said out loud what several people had been thinking. Lucas Droyaux is at the centre of it, and the squad will now find out whether the standard rises or the pair of them simply stop speaking.
The dugout23 Nov 2026
“Nobody here is above being told.” It was not said with a name attached, but the dressing room can count, and so can everybody who was listening.
Market23 Nov 2026
“There is a gap, and pretending there is not helps nobody.” Neither side has moved, and the calendar is working for exactly one of them.

Fiodor Simkus knocks on the manager's door
“It had gone on long enough. I would rather have it out than leave it sitting there.” Ten minutes behind a closed door at Utenis, and both men came out saying it was fine.

Form comes and goes; this has not gone. Lukas Satkus is 19, and the version of him training now would not have got into the side he was in a year ago.

23 days on the announcement, and a year of quiet, unwatched rehabilitation behind it. Utenis lose a player for a season; he loses something harder to name.
Market14 Sep 2026
“This is not anger. I have thought about it for months, and nothing that has happened lately changed my mind.” The request is on a desk at Utenis, and it is not being withdrawn.
