The EA Guingamp Post
Match15 Aug 2026
A 2-goal lead gone for EA Guingamp
It is a specific kind of quiet, a ground watching a winning position dissolve. SC Bastia kept coming because nothing stopped them, and EA Guingamp will be asked about the last half hour all week.

A brace, and Louis Mafouta takes the afternoon — 9.11
There is a particular kind of quiet from an away end watching one man score twice. Louis Mafouta provided it, and the 9.11 beside his name is if anything generous to everybody else.

Door shut on Diego Coppola
EA Guingamp asked and Paris FC said no without discussing a figure. It is the least ambiguous answer in football and the one clubs most often come back to test.

Tiago Sá will not be coming to EA Guingamp
Terms were offered and declined. Whether it was the wages, the role or the town, nobody at Braga is saying, and nobody at EA Guingamp is enjoying the guessing.

A falling-out at EA Guingamp
Branco van den Boomen and a teammate went at it, and not about football. Training grounds are small places and a long season makes them smaller.

5 academy players handed senior numbers at EA Guingamp
The morning the pathway stops being a brochure and becomes a team sheet. Most of them will not be here in three years; all of them have already done the hard part, which was getting to today.

Home is on Sohaib Naïr's mind
“Some mornings you wake up and you are still a long way from everything you know.” It is not the football and it never was; EA Guingamp are dealing with a man who wants a different country.

One of our own: Frédéric Blanc joins the EA Guingamp first team
Clubs spend fortunes looking for players and occasionally find one down the corridor. Frédéric Blanc is that, and the reception he gets on his first appearance will be different in kind from the one any signing receives.

EA Guingamp promote Rémy Bonnet from within
The academy exists for exactly this morning. Rémy Bonnet has come through every age group the club runs and has now been handed a senior number, and the people who coached him at twelve will be the proudest in the building.
