No mercy from Bahia
Athletic Club will want this one forgotten quickly: 3‑0, every duel lost, and a long ride home. Bahia were ruthless in the way good sides are ruthless.

The clubs have agreed terms, and what remains is formality: a medical, a photograph, a signature. Nobody at Bahia is pretending he will be back in the shirt.

Senior shirt numbers handed to boys the coaches have known since they were twelve. Most will not make it and all of them have already done the hard part.

Lucas Cruz will join Bahia for nothing
The paperwork is done long before the player is. Lucas Cruz has agreed terms to come here when his current deal runs out, which means Bahia have spent a summer's transfer budget on a phone call.
