Nicolás Molina: that is not what I was promised
“Things were said to me before I signed. I am not going to repeat them, but I remember all of them.” Deportivo Riestra have not answered, which is an answer of sorts.

Mario Acosta breaks a bone — 87 days out
Brutal, unambiguous and, for all the horror of the moment, usually less career-shaped than the ligament everybody fears more. 87 days, a clean timeline, and a return date somebody can actually plan around.

Only the photograph left for Gianluca Mancuso
Fee agreed, terms agreed, medical booked. Gianluca Mancuso will be somebody else’s player by the weekend, and around Deportivo Riestra the goodbyes have quietly begun.

Graduation day at Deportivo Riestra
8 boys move up, and somewhere in the building the people who coached them at twelve are quietly having the best morning of their working year. Nothing about this shows up in a result and it is why the academy exists.

Deportivo Riestra beat the market to Agustín Zabaleta from Barracas Central

A row about effort at Deportivo Riestra
Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Iván Fernández was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.
Match1 Feb 2031
After 6 games, Deportivo Riestra finally taste it again
The first defeat in 6 matches. The manager will say it had to come; the dressing room will say it did not have to come against Gimnasia La Plata; the supporters will say both, in that order, all week.
Match1 Feb 2031
Gimnasia La Plata take the points off Deportivo Riestra
Beaten 0‑2, and beaten fairly. The manager kept his words short afterwards, which was probably wise.

Deportivo Riestra promote Cuti from within
The academy exists for exactly this morning. Cuti has come through every age group the club runs and has now been handed a senior number, and the people who coached him at twelve will be the proudest in the building.
