The Tuna Luso Courier
Match8 Aug 2026
Tuna Luso run riot against Iguatu
3‑0, and the margin flattered nobody — it could have carried another goal or two without complaint. Afternoons like this are why people keep coming.

Both of them Thiago Vidal's — 8.60
2 goals, and the second was the one that settled it. Marked 8.60, and he could have had a third with better luck at the near post.

Guilherme Paixão arrives at the club he grew up with
Every footballer has an answer to the question about his boyhood club, and most of them never get to act on it. Guilherme Paixão has, at Tuna Luso, and the first month will show what that does to a man.

Ze Ricardo pops up at the right end — 7.81
7.81, 1 on the scoresheet, and the specific comedy of a back-four player celebrating like somebody who does this every week. He does not, and that is exactly why the ground reacted the way it did.

Denilson stays put
“The easiest signature of my career.” Denilson and Tuna Luso agree another 3 years, and the manager can plan around him rather than about him.

Words exchanged at Tuna Luso
Testinha and a teammate said things this week that will take longer than a week to unsay. It was not about football, and both of them play on Saturday.
Squad10 Aug 2026
Denilson falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.

Tuna Luso supporters have found a favourite in Thiago Vidal
There is a particular warmth a ground reserves for a 23-year-old it feels ownership of. Thiago Vidal has it now, and everything he does for the rest of his time here will be measured against the goodwill he was handed for free.

Tuna Luso promote Igor Araujo from within
The academy exists for exactly this morning. Igor Araujo has come through every age group the club runs and has now been handed a senior number, and the people who coached him at twelve will be the proudest in the building.
