A fracture rules Wojciech Szczęsny out for 156 days
Bones knit. That is the one merciful thing about this injury and the reason Real Sociedad will talk about it more openly than they would about a knee. He will be back, and roughly when they say.

Real Sociedad sell Álex Remiro for $550.0K
Álex Remiro has left for Atlético Madrid in a $550.0K deal. The accountants are pleased; the supporters are less certain.

Real Sociedad see off Elche
Three points for Real Sociedad, 2‑0 the final word against Elche in a contest settled by the finer margins.

Yangel Herrera faces a manager he fell out with
They have worked together before and it did not end well. Nobody at Real Sociedad expects the new manager to have forgotten, least of all Yangel Herrera.
