Leo stands alone
7 saves, and a scoreline the ten men in front of him had no right to. Goalkeepers only get noticed on the bad days; this was one of the other ones.

Mihailo Perović turns down Persik
The clubs had agreed and the player had not. A snub, and a public one: Persebaya keep him, and the supporters here are left wondering what he had heard about the place.

Achmad Iqbal Bachtiar keeps the receipts
“I remember the meeting. I remember exactly what was promised in it.” Persik may remember it differently, which is precisely the problem.

Persik close the window on a squad of their own making
6 in and 5 out, and no more changes for months. The manager has what he has, the supporters have their opinion of it, and the table will have the last word.

After 9 games, Persik finally taste it again
The first defeat in 9 matches. The manager will say it had to come; the dressing room will say it did not have to come against Persijap; the supporters will say both, in that order, all week.

It was not about football and everybody who saw it knows that. Two men who have to play together on Saturday said things at Persik this week that will take longer than a week to unsay.

Graduation day at Persik
5 boys move up, and somewhere in the building the people who coached them at twelve are quietly having the best morning of their working year. Nothing about this shows up in a result and it is why the academy exists.
