Rubén Gómez keeps Celta Fortuna in it on his own
Some afternoons a goalkeeper is the team. 12 saves, several of them the sort nobody expects to see stopped, and a scoreline that flatters everybody in front of him.
Match31 Dec 2029
Celta Fortuna are in real trouble now
Position 20, 6 points, and a fixture list with fewer games left in it than excuses. The arithmetic is not cruel yet, but it has stopped being kind.
Match29 Dec 2029
A hiding for Celta Fortuna
Beaten 0‑3 by Unionistas, and beaten everywhere it matters. The inquest starts on the training pitch on Monday morning.
Match25 Dec 2029
Celta Fortuna strike at the death to beat Cacereño
There were 86 minutes on the clock and Cacereño had all but banked the point. Football rarely reads the room, and Celta Fortuna did not stop to explain themselves.

Cristian Arceo puts it in writing
“This is not anger. I have thought about it for months, and nothing that has happened lately changed my mind.” The request is on a desk at Celta Fortuna, and it is not being withdrawn.

A falling-out at Celta Fortuna
Borja Iglesias and a teammate went at it, and not about football. Training grounds are small places and a long season makes them smaller.
Squad31 Dec 2029
Time is catching up with Marcos Alonso
Everybody at Celta Fortuna saw it before anybody said it, which is how this always goes. At 39 the decline is real and measurable — 3 points — and the only question left is how the club handles somebody it owes a great deal to.
Match25 Dec 2029
Celta Fortuna see off Cacereño
Three points for Celta Fortuna, 1‑0 the final word against Cacereño in a contest settled by the finer margins.

Ninety minutes of Manu Sánchez at his very best
Marked 8.24. Players have careers without a single afternoon like this in them, and he has just had one in front of everybody at Celta Fortuna.
