Successful dribbles: 25. He went past people as if he had been told there was a prize for it, and by the end the full-back had stopped pretending to try.
Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Bibars Natcho was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.
Spartak Subotica held the lead for 2 minutes, which is not long enough to enjoy it. Partizan answered before the celebration had properly finished, and the shape of the afternoon changed with it.
The run now stands at 9, and the questions being asked around Partizan are no longer polite ones.

Erik Kojzek, 20, plays like he has been here for years — 8.40
A mark of 8.40 means one thing beside a twenty-nine-year-old's name and something else entirely beside a 20-year-old's. Nobody at the ground needed telling which this was.

Bibars Natcho falls out with a teammate over standards
The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.
Milan Lazarević was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.
0‑1 against Lokomotiv Sofia. Continental football is unforgiving about the things a domestic league lets a side get away with, and this was a night spent finding out which of those the club still has.
Milan Vukotić was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.
4 games without scoring. Strikers stop looking up, midfielders take the extra touch, and every shot that clears the bar is followed by a groan that has been building since the last goal.

Something was said to Luka Milivojević and then it happened. In this industry that passes for remarkable, and the dressing room noticed faster than any supporter could.
“I am grateful for the games, but I did not become a footballer to be somebody else's spare part.” He wants to be at Partizan, and 0 appearances in 14 say he has earned the hearing.

1‑1, and both dressing rooms will call it two points lost. A draw that asked plenty of questions and answered none of them.

The manager’s verdict
“I am frustrated, honestly. We did enough to win and we did not win.” Nenad Lazovic was not hiding it after 1‑1, and nobody in the Partizan dressing room was either.
Every manager keeps a short list in his head of the men he wants on the pitch when the stakes rise, and it is never published. The team sheets for the big afternoons say Iddrisu Baba is on it.
“The manager did not use many words, and he did not need to.” Marko Živković has his answer from Partizan; what he does with it is the next window’s story.

Nobody makes a documentary about a hamstring and everybody in the game fears one. Partizan will be careful with the return date, because the second one is always worse than the first.

Clubs make promises constantly and the page usually only hears about them when they are broken. This one was honoured, and the dressing room noticed that faster than any supporter did.
“I watch every Partizan game from here. That says everything about where my head is.” The loan at Lucko runs its course, but his heart never made the trip.
1‑5. There is a level at which football is played every single week by clubs that have been doing it for fifty years, and an evening like this is what it feels like to arrive there without having done it.
Position 2, 32 points, and the result everyone checks first is now theirs. The word is still not being said around the ground, which is how you know everyone is thinking it.
6 goals in one match, Demba Seck on the scoresheet, and a scoreline that will look like a misprint. Neutrals could not have asked more of Partizan and Hajduk Split.

Beaten 1‑3 by Crvena Zvezda in the one fixture that is never just a fixture. Work, school, the corner shop — there will be no getting away from this one.
1 for Iddrisu Baba, marked 7.95, and a centre-half's name in the part of the report he normally only reaches by mistake. He will not be allowed to forget it in the dressing room for a month.
Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Bibars Natcho was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.
“The supporters are entitled to be angry. So am I. We will put it right.” 1‑3, a manager saying the necessary things, and a dressing room that heard a different version of them.
Every touch weighed, every quote parsed, every mistake replayed. Some players grow into that; some are quietly finished by it; nobody knows which until afterwards.
Nobody at Partizan will say this on the record and the team sheets have been saying it for weeks. There is a small group in every squad who get picked when the fixture is difficult, and he has joined it.
0‑5 against Ajax. The honest reading is not that the players were poor; it is that the distance between this club and that one is currently measured in things money takes years to buy.
Sidney Lima and a teammate went at it, and not about football. Training grounds are small places and a long season makes them smaller.

He is doing things on a Saturday afternoon that nobody around him can answer, which is flattering for about one season and a problem after that. Partizan will not keep him by pretending otherwise.
The hardest thing about being 20 in a senior side is that nobody makes allowances. Erik Kojzek did not need any: 8.06, and he looked the most comfortable man on the pitch.
