Alexandre Llovet was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.
Ninety minutes of very little, and then everything at once. The winner arrived in the 89th, and BKMA-2 spent what remained of the match appealing to the referee rather than chasing the ball.
Three points for Urartu-2, 1‑0 the final word against BKMA-2 in a contest settled by the finer margins.

The manager’s verdict
“I am not going to get carried away and I will not let them either. It was a good day. There will be harder ones.” Arman Hovhannisyan kept it short after the 1‑0 win, which is what managers do when they are happy.
4 without a win now, and the ground has developed the special quiet of a crowd that expects the worst. One scrappy 1-0 would cure most of it; that is the maddening part.
4 matches, no goals, and a training ground that has tried everything. It will end — droughts always do — but nobody at Urartu-2 can tell you which week it ends in.
There is a particular warmth a ground reserves for a 22-year-old it feels ownership of. Artur Israelyan has it now, and everything he does for the rest of his time here will be measured against the goodwill he was handed for free.
“I respect the manager and I am not going to sit here and pretend I am happy.” It is the most common sentence in football and it has never once been the end of a story.
7.15, and no serious argument from anybody who was there. Urartu-2 had eleven men on the pitch and one of them decided how it went.

The view from the dugout
“We did not lose. Some weeks that is all you get, and I would rather have the point than not.” Arman Hovhannisyan chose the glass-half-full version of 0‑0; the supporters left with the other one.
The chances are being made and something is happening between the making and the finishing. 3 matches now, and the anxiety in the ground arrives a little earlier every week.
0‑1 to Van-2, and no complaints worth printing. The performance asked for nothing more than it got.

The view from the dugout
“We will look at it, we will learn from it, and we go again.” The three sentences every manager keeps for a 0‑1 defeat, delivered by Arman Hovhannisyan to a room that had heard them before.
“It is not the end of the world and it is not good enough. Both of those are true.” The manager, after a 0‑0 draw, said the honest thing and then went to say it again inside.
“I did not come here to warm up in front of people.” He is out of contract eventually, he is old enough to count the weeks, and Urartu-2 will have to give him a reason to stay or an exit.
Nothing is announced when this happens and everybody knows. He is a bigger part of the plan at Urartu-2 than he was a month ago, and the training ground worked that out before the team sheet said so.
A new face in his position, and Artur Israelyan suddenly has to win back what he thought he owned. Urartu-2 have promised nothing — clubs rarely do at this stage.
“We did not lose. Some weeks that is all you get, and I would rather have the point than not.” Arman Hovhannisyan chose the glass-half-full version of 0‑0; the supporters left with the other one.
“I know what people will say. I know what I want, and it is here.” Syunik had the fee agreed and the shirt ready; they did not have the player, and now they will not.
6 goals in one match, Artur Simonyan on the scoresheet, and a scoreline that will look like a misprint. Neutrals could not have asked more of Urartu-2 and Noah-2.
Noah-2 made Urartu-2 work for it, but the scoreboard read 4‑2 at the end and the table does not ask how.

The view from the dugout
“We controlled it. There were spells I did not like and we will look at them, but the group showed me something.” Arman Hovhannisyan, on a 4‑2 win that he was already picking apart on the walk to the press room.
“A point is a point and I will take it, but we should have had all three.” Arman Hovhannisyan after the 0‑0 draw, and the sentence every manager in the country said at some stage this weekend.

Words at Urartu-2 training over how hard people work
Somebody said out loud what several people had been thinking. Artur Israelyan is at the centre of it, and the squad will now find out whether the standard rises or the pair of them simply stop speaking.
