Seif Benrabah due for a USM Khenchela medical

Everything agreed with JS Kabylie, everything agreed with the player; a doctor is the only person left to persuade. The photograph is a day or two away.

Squad17 Aug 2026

Réda Boumechra in a row with a teammate

It was not about football and everybody who saw it knows that. Two men who have to play together on Saturday said things at USM Khenchela this week that will take longer than a week to unsay.

Squad17 Aug 2026

Ammar Oukil falls out with a teammate over standards

The oldest argument in any dressing room and the only one that is genuinely about football: one man thinks another is not putting enough in. It is also the row a manager privately does not mind having happened.

Transfer targets17 Aug 2026

Door shut on Adel Bouzida

USM Khenchela asked and Paradou said no without discussing a figure. It is the least ambiguous answer in football and the one clubs most often come back to test.

Market17 Aug 2026

Eyes on Christopher Samangwa again

The phone has started ringing about Christopher Samangwa again, and this time the name on the line is JS Kabylie. USM Khenchela are listening politely and promising nothing.

Transfer targets17 Aug 2026

USM Khenchela try to borrow Mehdi Boucherit

MC Alger have been asked whether they would lend him. Loans are agreed quickly or not at all, and this one will be one or the other by the weekend.

Squad17 Aug 2026

The formation has left Dramane Kamagaté behind

Every shape has positions in it and this one does not have his. USM Khenchela will either change the shape, change his job, or change his club, and he is waiting to hear which.

Squad17 Aug 2026

Somebody is after Zakaria Mansouri’s shirt

A new face in his position, and Zakaria Mansouri suddenly has to win back what he thought he owned. USM Khenchela have promised nothing — clubs rarely do at this stage.

Market17 Aug 2026

Mohamed Zaalouk arrives on loan

USM Khenchela have taken Mohamed Zaalouk on loan from Al Ahly — cover where cover was needed.

Dramane Kamagaté is a medical away from USM Khenchela

The deal with USM Alger is done in every sense but the one that puts him on the pitch. Nothing goes wrong at this stage, except on the occasions when it does.

Squad10 Aug 2026

Words exchanged at USM Khenchela

Réda Boumechra and a teammate said things this week that will take longer than a week to unsay. It was not about football, and both of them play on Saturday.

Squad10 Aug 2026

A row about effort at USM Khenchela

Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Ahmed El Sheikh was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.

Market10 Aug 2026

One of our own: Bilal Medjani joins the USM Khenchela first team

Clubs spend fortunes looking for players and occasionally find one down the corridor. Bilal Medjani is that, and the reception he gets on his first appearance will be different in kind from the one any signing receives.

One of our own: Ali Zeffane joins the USM Khenchela first team

Clubs spend fortunes looking for players and occasionally find one down the corridor. Ali Zeffane is that, and the reception he gets on his first appearance will be different in kind from the one any signing receives.

Market10 Aug 2026

Abderrahmane Zeffane steps up from the USM Khenchela academy

There is no fee, no unveiling and no agent on the steps. Abderrahmane Zeffane has been at this club since he was a boy and is now, formally, one of the first-team squad — which for a local readership beats any signing of any size.

Oussama Litim signs on for more

“Some decisions take a long time. This one took ten minutes, and most of that was finding a pen.” Oussama Litim and USM Khenchela agree another 2 years.

Squad3 Aug 2026

A falling-out at USM Khenchela

Réda Boumechra and a teammate went at it, and not about football. Training grounds are small places and a long season makes them smaller.

Squad3 Aug 2026

Words at USM Khenchela training over how hard people work

Somebody said out loud what several people had been thinking. Zakaria Mansouri is at the centre of it, and the squad will now find out whether the standard rises or the pair of them simply stop speaking.

Transfer targets3 Aug 2026

USM Khenchela rebuffed over Belal Ateya

Not now, not at any price the club was prepared to say out loud. Al Ahly have kept their man, and USM Khenchela go back to a list with one name crossed off it.

Squad3 Aug 2026

Zakaria Mansouri is a square peg at USM Khenchela

The system has changed and his position has not. A footballer can improve his form; he cannot improve the manager’s formation, and that is the whole of the problem.

Market3 Aug 2026

USM Khenchela and Oussama Litim are talking past each other

“There is a gap, and pretending there is not helps nobody.” Neither side has moved, and the calendar is working for exactly one of them.

Market3 Aug 2026

The clock runs on Ayobami Junior's contract

49 months left and silence from upstairs — no offer, no talks, nothing for his people to answer. Clubs that let a calendar do their negotiating usually end up negotiating with the calendar.

Transfer targets3 Aug 2026

A loan move for Dramane Kamagaté is in the works

USM Khenchela have made the call to USM Alger. No fee, a share of the wages, and a spare shirt in the position where the squad has been thinnest all season.
