The Portimonense Courier
Match22 Jan 2028
Portimonense make home a hard place to visit
17 without defeat on their own grass. The pitch has not changed; the crowd has — louder earlier, and quicker to sense when the opposition would rather be somewhere else.
Player ratings24 Jan 2028
Vlad, 18, steals the show — 8.29
Marked 8.29 at 18, in a side that makes no allowances for age. He did not need any, and he looked the least nervous man on the pitch.
Market24 Jan 2028
Marlon Júnior hands in a written request
“I have nothing bad to say about this place. I just need to be somewhere else.” It is in writing now, which changes what Portimonense can pretend not to have heard.
The dugout24 Jan 2028
Jotavê keeps the receipts
“I remember the meeting. I remember exactly what was promised in it.” Portimonense may remember it differently, which is precisely the problem.

The paperwork begins on Diogo Dias
A medical, a signature, a shirt held up in front of a sponsor’s board. Portimonense have done the hard part with Académica, and the part that remains is the part supporters actually see.
Squad24 Jan 2028
João Reis in a row with a teammate
It was not about football and everybody who saw it knows that. Two men who have to play together on Saturday said things at Portimonense this week that will take longer than a week to unsay.
Transfer targets24 Jan 2028
Portimonense make their move for Pedro Virgínia
$53.0K on the table at Rio Ave. The manager wanted him, the board agreed a number, and the only voices still to be heard are the ones at the other club.
Transfer targets24 Jan 2028
An offer of $43.0K for Nathan Cachorrão
Portimonense have gone to Moreirense with a bid, and the supporters have gone to the internet with an opinion about it. Whether either changes anything is up to the selling club.
Transfer targets24 Jan 2028
No deal for Silas Bjerre at that price
Portimonense offered $68.0K; Torreense said it was not close. The manager will be told the money is still there for the right player, which is what managers are told.
