Blaise Loïc Tsagué is on his way
The clubs have agreed terms, and what remains is formality: a medical, a photograph, a signature. Nobody at Gazelle Garoua is pretending he will be back in the shirt.

A row about effort at Gazelle Garoua
Somebody said out loud what several people thought about how hard another man trains, and Jordy Doumbe Youmba was in the middle of it. The one dressing-room argument that is genuinely about football.

Tempers go at Gazelle Garoua
Florent Warna was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.

Gazelle Garoua see off Aigle Royal de la Menoua
Three points for Gazelle Garoua, 1‑0 the final word against Aigle Royal de la Menoua in a contest settled by the finer margins.

Ninety minutes of Jordy Doumbe Youmba at his very best
Marked 8.15. Players have careers without a single afternoon like this in them, and he has just had one in front of everybody at Gazelle Garoua.

The manager makes an example of Kazeem Abdulkadir
“If you cannot run for the shirt, somebody else will wear it.” No name was used and none was needed; every player in that room knew who it was for.

Patrick Moukandjo stays put
“The easiest signature of my career.” Patrick Moukandjo and Gazelle Garoua agree another 3 years, and the manager can plan around him rather than about him.

Clinton Mbia makes the team of the month
Four or five weekends of consistency, measured against everybody else in the division. A quieter compliment than an award and a more reliable one.

The manager’s verdict
“I am not going to get carried away and I will not let them either. It was a good day. There will be harder ones.” Interim Coach kept it short after the 1‑0 win, which is what managers do when they are happy.
