The Pescara Sentinel
Match4 Nov 2026
Pescara through in the cup
A 2‑0 win over Cosenza, and the draw for the next round can be watched with some interest for once.
Match9 Nov 2026
Pescara up to position 2
22 points on the board and a place in the leading group. Nobody at the ground is saying the word out loud yet.
Player ratings9 Nov 2026
A brace, and Orji Okwonkwo takes the afternoon — 8.87
There is a particular kind of quiet from an away end watching one man score twice. Orji Okwonkwo provided it, and the 8.87 beside his name is if anything generous to everybody else.

A brace, and Roberto Inglese takes the afternoon — 8.55
There is a particular kind of quiet from an away end watching one man score twice. Roberto Inglese provided it, and the 8.55 beside his name is if anything generous to everybody else.

Gaetano Letizia, 36, rolls back the years — 8.33
There is an age at which every good afternoon gets described as a throwback, which is unfair and also accurate. 8.33 at 36, and nobody on the pitch was better.
Match7 Nov 2026
Pescara make it 4 in a row
Momentum is a hard thing to buy and an easy thing to lose, and right now Pescara have 4 straight wins of it.
Squad9 Nov 2026
Tempers go at Pescara
Sebastiano Desplanches was at the centre of it, and by the time it was pulled apart there were three or four others involved. Training grounds are small places and long seasons make them smaller.
Match7 Nov 2026
Pescara see off Pianese
Three points for Pescara, 2‑1 the final word against Pianese in a contest settled by the finer margins.
The dugout9 Nov 2026
A satisfied Salvatore Villa
“The players deserve the credit. My job was easy today.” It was not, and everybody in the room knew it; after 2‑1, Salvatore Villa could afford to be generous.
